What does it mean to participate virtually?
It means you can do whatever activity you love to do, wherever you are, all for a great cause!
With the Move for Mobility, you can run in your backyard, on a treadmill, or at an official race. You can walk around your neighborhood or hike a local trail. You can bike out in the open air or get your miles in on a stationary bike. Swim laps, do jumping jacks... It's all up to you!
Can a group or team participate in Move for Mobility?*
Absolutely! We encourage groups of any size to create a team page and help us spread the word about the need for mobility worldwide and provide the solution through fundraising for wheelchairs. This includes schools, churches, businesses, sports teams, running/spartan groups and more! Visit our group page for more information.

Does it cost anything to register?**
No! It is free to sign up for the Move for Mobility. Our hope is that you will be inspired to fundraise or donate to help at least one person receive a new wheelchair. Each $96 donation will change someone’s life forever!
What does registration include?**
When you sign up for Move for Mobility on our Classy platform, it automatically creates an online fundraising page for you to share on your social media and text to family and friends by generating a dedicated link.
Once registration is complete, you can customize your fundraising page through the manage icon, located at the top right of your fundraising page. It is important to set a goal and tell your story which will inspire everyone who visits your page to support your efforts. Don’t forget to add a photo of yourself or your team in your new Move for Mobility gear!
When we receive your registration, Free Wheelchair Mission will mail you a Move for Mobility t-shirt and wristband. Our shirts are made of fast-dry sports fabric and come in sizes for Unisex, Women, and Youth"* sizes and styles, subject to availability.
How do I create a fundraising page?

Do the miles need to be completed at one time?
You can complete your miles all at once or over a period of a few weeks. It's all up to you!
How can I combine my fundraising efforts with a race or activity I am already registered for?
Once you have signed up to participate for free on our website, you can select any race or activity of your choosing, then use your online fundraising link to tell your family and friends that you have decided to make your miles matter by funding wheelchairs, with their help.
Our resources are free, so you can feel confident about sharing the need for mobility with your network—all while doing something you love to do!
Are there races or events I can join as part of the Move for Mobility?
Check out this list of May events that you can join across the country. (Please note that you will have to register for each event separately from your Move for Mobility registration, which is free.)
*Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks to host group events with 20 or more participants.
