April 2002

In the September newsletter I mentioned that we sent 43 wheelchairs to the Christian Missions Charitable Trust (CMCT) in Chennai, India. They assemble these wheelchairs and distribute them as needed. The following is a brief article that appeared in their last quarterly magazine called Showers.

Wheel Chair For Mr. Venkatesh

Mr. Venkatesh, residing at No. 13, 12 Shenoy Road, Nungambakkam, has been suffering from nyotonic dystrophia. He has been unable to walk about and has been confined to bed for more than a year.

The wheel chair he has received from the Christian Missions Charitable Trust (CMCT), 72, (59) Spur Tank Road, Chetpet, Chennai 600 031, has given him hew hope. He is now able to move about inside the house. He is thankful to CMCT for this generous gesture, and for making it possible for him to be mobile once again. Special thanks is due to Mr. Don Schoendorfer in the USA for the vision God has given him to design this special wheel chair.
