Event: Family Fun BBQ Location: Melba City Park at Baseline Road and Charlotte Drive under the picnic shelter
The Community Baptist Church of Melba will serve barbecued hamburgers and hotdogs with all the topping, salads, baked beans, chips, and drinks. A presentation about Free Wheelchair Mission will be made by George Hage. There will also be a silent cake auction of cakes designed, baked and decorated by children participating in Vacation Bible School. All the funds raised from the cake sale will be donated to Free Wheelchair Mission in addition to the offering collected during the week. The event is free and open to the community. Free Wheelchair Mission is an IRS approved 501c3 non-profit organization based in Irvine, California, focused on transforming lives through the gift of mobility. It is estimated that there are over 100 million people in the world who are disabled and cannot afford to purchase a wheelchair. Free Wheelchair Mission delivers these wheelchairs to the poorest of the poor in developing countries who cannot afford to purchase one.
