Remember two weeks ago our story from Dan Brose of World Relief, Zambia?
It was about Marie Jeanne, Justine, and Rosetta (all sisters) standing
in the back of a pickup truck. An accident resulted in all three girls
being crippled, and none of them will walk again. I reported on Marie
Jeanne. Here is a story about her sister, Rosetta:
"The accident caused extensive damage to Rosetta’s legs,
and both legs had to be amputated. When she learned that her legs had
been removed and that she couldn’t walk, she was surprised. At
first, she thought, “It will not be possible for me to do something
important with my life.” She thought that her life could not go
on without her legs. But that changed!
She was very happy to receive a wheelchair, which will allow her to
go back to school. She thinks that she will go to school to be a teacher
(to please her father) and then she will go back to school to learn a
skill that would not require her to stand, like accounting or computers."
