Greetings and Happy Friday!

March 26, 2004

Happy Friday,

Have you ever thought about having to eat all your meals lying down and perhaps never being able to join your family around a holiday table? What we take for granted every day is brought into perspective by this simple letter from one of our recipients in China.

"For so many years, I had been lying and eating in the bed because of my paralyzed body. I could only look at the ceiling of my house from bed and never thought of going around to other people's rooms. In one word, nothing can beat all of sufferings I had experienced. I wished that I could have sit in my own wheelchair to look around and have dinner with my family around the table in the holidays.

Today, my longtime wish is finally fulfilled. With the help of my American friends, a donated wheelchair brings me tremendous convenience and helps me to realize my longtime dream. I sincerely thank all of our international friends who have given us endless caring and unforgettable donation."

God bless,

Let us know if you want us to add your friends to our Friday Wheelchair Story distribution. www.freewheelchairmission.org

P.S. I am so blessed by a growing army of volunteers, volunteers whose talents far exceed mine. Margaret Watkins is one such volunteer. Margaret reviews the mountains of stories we get from our partners who distribute our wheelchairs and assembles many of these stories for us.
