How to set up your free “Ambassador” website

Free Wheelchair Mission is using a new service called Kintera to help us facilitate all our fundraising campaigns. This will make our bookkeeping and campaign totals much, much easier to maintain, not to mention that the pages will be updated automatically every day with the new totals. 

Rather than us creating everyone's fundraising pages (and we have a lot of campaigns running right now!), we are giving each fundraiser the control to create their own page!  It takes about 2 minutes and you can log in and edit your page any time.

Follow these steps to set up you own fundraising page:

1. Register by going to http://fwm.kintera.org
   
   
2. Click on “Be A Fundraiser” under the “Visitors” section on the left hand side of the page.
   
   
3. Enter all of the required personal information. Please enter a "friendly url" in the section: Personalized Web Page Link - see example there. Rest assured that all of the information given is secure and for Free Wheelchair Mission purposes only.
   
   
4. While building your webpage you will have the option of either uploading your own captivating picture or using  one of our stock photos available online.  Please also write a brief description/summary of why you’re raising funds for Free Wheelchair Mission and why this cause is important to you which will be displayed under your photo.  Your story is unique, so share it!
   
   
5. Your page will keep a running total of all donations made in your name if the donation is given through your website, which means all money raised through your site (online) will go directly toward your fundraising campaign!  However, you also have the flexibility to add to your total any off-line donations (checks) that you may have collected.  Please be sure to include an “Offline Donation” form and send those off-line donations as soon as possible to:

Once you have created your page, you can immediately email friends, family, and co-workers your page link and donations can begin immediately!  This is such a wonderful tool, and we're excited to give you the opportunity to use it for your fundraising efforts!
